1/4" Flatfan

MW – 1/4″ Flat Fan Spray Nozzles

The MW series 1/4″ flat fan spray nozzles are versatile components engineered for precise atomization and controlled spray distribution. They are available in multiple body types to suit different operational needs:

  • MW Body Type “A” | Basic Body: Standard nozzle body for general applications.
  • MW Body Type “B” | Shut-Off Needle: Equipped with a needle for quick on/off control of the spray.
  • MW Body Type “C” | Cleaning Needle: Designed for easy cleaning to maintain optimal performance.
  • MW Body Type “D” | Clean and Shut-Off Needle: Combines shut-off functionality with an integrated cleaning mechanism.

Pressure Principle – Internal Mix

These internal mix nozzles feature a single orifice configuration that produces a precise, fan-shaped atomized spray. The design ensures that the liquid and atomizing air mix internally before exiting the nozzle, resulting in uniform coverage. Spray lengths range from approximately 1,800 mm to 5,200 mm, depending on the specific nozzle type and operating conditions. Detailed spray dimensions for each configuration are available in the performance tables.

Siphon Principle – Internal Mix

These internal mix siphon nozzles are intended to operate with liquids drawn from a container at ambient pressure, either by siphoning or gravity feed. Performance tables provide water flow rates for both suction head (highlighted in blue) and gravity head (white background) conditions. Spray characteristics, including length and coverage, vary according to nozzle configuration and operating parameters, offering flexibility for different installation scenarios.

Pressure Principle – External Mix

External mix nozzles separate the paths of air and liquid, allowing them to exit through different orifices. Atomization occurs when the two streams collide just outside the nozzle, enabling the handling of viscous liquids or liquids containing particulate matter that could clog conventional internal mix nozzles. Both liquid and air pressures can be independently adjusted, providing precise control over spray characteristics and ensuring steady, repeatable performance. This makes external mix nozzles particularly suitable for challenging spraying applications requiring consistent droplet formation and coverage.

The MW 1/4″ flat fan nozzles are ideal for applications requiring precision, reliability, and flexibility in spray patterns, whether under pressure, siphon, or gravity-fed conditions.
