SELF-CLEANING NOZZLE
The self-cleaning design of the GF flat fan nozzle simplifies the maintenance of cleaning spray bars and shower headers. The nozzle features a movable piston that opens and closes based on water pressure.
For instance, when the nozzles are used to wash mesh fabrics at an operating pressure of 3 bar, this pressure exceeds a spring force of 1 bar. As a result, the piston and nozzle body come close together, creating a flat fan spray. However, if the inlet pressure drops to 0.5 bar, which is below the spring force of 1 bar, the piston and nozzle body separate, maximizing the distance between them. The water pressure remains at 0.5 bar, effectively removing any build-up when conditions return to normal.
In other words, to clean these nozzles, it’s sufficient to reduce the pressure to prevent the accumulation of dirt inside. GF self-cleaning nozzles are easy to install, align, and clean, leading to significant time and cost savings. The spring force is adjusted according to the customer’s plant operating pressure.
